A Guide To Health Practitioner - Tania Smith
Tania Smith is a practitioner member of the Australian
Traditional Medicine Society Ltd (ATMS). ATMS is the largest
natural therapies association in Australia. ATMS ensures high standards
of their practitioner members through a Code of Ethics which are
displayed at the clinic and through Mandatory Continuing Education.
Tania holds a Diploma in Nutrition, Meditation Facilitator's Certificate,
Diploma in Energetic Healing and Certificate IV in Assessment &
Workplace Training. Aside of these, Tania has completed courses
in Meditation, Ear Candling, Touch for Health I, Feng Shui, Rafferty
Energy System of Easing the Temporomandibular Joint (RESET) and
Emotional Links to Disease.
Tania has an interest in how the body adapts to Stressors through
the General Adaptation System (G.A.S). G.A.S is how our body adapts
and copes with stress – whether it is perceived as good in excitement
& exhilaration or bad in unrealistic deadlines & pain. Whatever
the perception, the body responds to these stressors in the same
way and if this state is consistent, as in many lifestyles it is,
the body becomes unbalanced and can lead to a cycle of illness or
disease. While focusing on this in her studies, Tania has found
links to life habits that can help or hinder health and wellbeing.
These links can be through diet, lifestyle or family patterns/habits.
Tania is passionate about helping people to help themselves. Tania
sees her role of health care practitioner as a guide by listening
to her clients and offering her knowledge and experience to help
heal where healing is needed. As the client, you are the one who
takes the information offered and makes the important choices to
help heal yourself. Tania is there to support you through this important
time and life change and encourages you to become the master of
your own health, choices and destiny.
