A Guide to Health talks are fun, interesting, interactive and delicious! You will enjoy the experience and learn a lot along the way about yourself and your world around you.

  • ways to better communicate (from perspectives of both adult and child);

Caring for the Carer

Children and adolescents learn and behave primarily through observation and imitation. As adults, we all have a very important role of nurturing the children of our community. We are role model, mentor and guide of this community’s most precious asset – our future.

You may be a carer by way of parent, guardian of others, coach and role model. The children around you pick up on your good habits and behaviours as well as your not so good habits and behaviours.

With this in mind . . .
How do you look after yourself?
Do you eat properly?
Do you sleep well?
How do you handle stress?

This topic has been presented to Teachers at Staff Development Days and is now being extended to a 6 week course incorporating the importance of caring for yourself to help you become a better carer of others.

  • An honest self-assessment/recognition on current health and well being status
  • Better habits to kick-start a happy and energetic day (every day)
  • Awareness of your ability to recognise your own stress response and techniques to balance this.
